Corporate, Financial Markets and Financial Services Regulation

ACI Dealing Simulation

5-8 March 2012 - Wairarapa - REGISTRATIONS ARE OPEN

NZFMA in association with ACI Australia are pleased to again host the ACI Australia Dealing Simulation from Monday 5th to Thursday 8th of March at Copthorne Hotel & Resort, Solway Park, Wairarapa.

  • The ACI Dealing Simulation is the only hands-on simulated dealing course of its kind in the world.
  • The Dealing Simulation is designed to teach physical trading techniques by experiencing the hectic demands of a dealer's job in a realistic and responsible environment.
  • Learn the role of Treasurer, Trader, Sales and Broker in our simulated dealing room.
  • Gain insights into technical analysis, risk management, trading psychology and the OTC financial markets.
  • Your chance to draw from the knowledge of a number of Australian and New Zealand markets experts.
  • Experience the excitement and competitive environment where teams aim to outperform each other, and high performers are recognised and rewarded.
  • Successful completion of the ACI Dealing Simulation Course will provide the attendee with 32 CE hours.

The course is limited to 40 participants (we have 12 already registered), and registrations close on Friday 24 February (or earlier if the course is fully subscribed). The NZ Dealing Simulation is currently listed on ACI Australia's website, and we have already received interest from non-members from both here and overseas (first priority is given to NZFMA members). Please note - successful completion of this course (including an exam pass mark of 80% minimum) is an accepted cross credit against the NZFMA FX Specialist Module for NZFMA Accreditation purposes.

Course attendees need to arrive at the venue on Sunday night 4 March, and with direct flights from Auckland to Masterton currently well priced, we recommend you book flights early. Alternatively, if attendees are from Wellington or are flying into Wellington for the course, a bus has been arranged to collect you from either Wellington Airport or Wellington Train Station on Sunday evening. The course concludes on the Thursday night with a formal dinner and prizegiving event, with attendees departing on Friday morning.
