FAQS & Help

If you cannot find the answer to your question please contact me at admin@infinz.com.

GENERAL QUERIES:

Something's gone wrong with payment processing.

If you heard a click, saw a flicker and returned to the same page it has declined you for any of a number of reasons including incorrect data entry. Try again.
If it didn't click: there is an error either in the server or the buyline, the message did not get through, payment has not processed, nor has it been declined. Try again later or complain to me at admin@infinz.com and I will contact our IT. BNZ Buyline does regularly close for maintenance.

You should not be able to pay the same invoice twice and any online processing should be immediate. Payment processing at INFINZ is on a monthly cycle but cash cannot escape the reconciliation process. If you decide not to try again, you'll eventually receive an invoice reminder. If you try again and manage to pay twice without your knowledge (this has never happened but there's always a first), you will eventually be contacted for your credit card number to process a refund.

Can't log on.

  1. Make sure you have www.infinz.com in your browser and not 'co.nz'. Co.nz looks the same but will not let you log on.
  2. Also: if you are not a paid member of INFINZ, IGNORE the logon on the home page: it is for paid members. You can access anywhere you need to go, including the details update section (which is in the members' section but is not secure).

Member/Profile/User ID - ?

  1. I apologise for this; consider them all the same thing: - that four-digit number on your membership certificate. If you can't remember it or are not a paid member enter the email address to which we send you emails, your 'preferred' email address.

Can't remember my ID number.

  1. If you are a member, your "Member ID"is printed on your membership Certificate.
  2. If that is not easy to access or you are not a member, enter the email address at which you receive correspondence from us in the box asking for your User ID and the system should recognise you.

Forgot my password.

  1. If you have never changed your password it may still be on its default setting, being your surname. It's worth a shot. (You may wish to change that on the details update page...)
  2. Failing that, ask the system to email your password to you. If you have moved and no longer have access to that email address, contact me.

How do I change my password/update my contact details?

  1. Hover your mouse over 'member's page, and choose the 'update details' box from the drop-down list. This will bring you your details.
  2. If you are not a member of INFINZ, you will still be able to access that particular page in the members' area but won't be able to access anything else in there.

What happened to CPD?

The Board of INFINZ has determined recently that the marketplace is the best enforcer of CPD and consequently INFINZ does not require to monitor it. You no longer need to log your hours with us.

I want to pay by credit card on line but I've lost the email with the link.

  1. Go to www.infinz.com//tools/transactions/view.aspx?SECT=Site
  2. Log on.
  3. A list if outstanding invoices should be populated
  4. You can click on the left-hand ellipsis (...) for a pdf of the invoice to make sure it is correct
  5. If all is in order, click on the 'pay now' button. This will take you to the secure screen which asks for your credit card details.
  6. Don't forget to log off.

EVENTS:

I registered for the wrong event!

  1. Easiest Option:
forward the invoice which will be in your inbox to me and instruct me to register you for the desired event. Any payment already made will be forwarded to the new invoice. This will take a few days.
  2. Most Secure Option:
If you want the security of knowing you're attending the correct event, register for the event you were after in the first place, (choose 'pay on invoice' if you already paid for previous event.) This locks your registration for that event in, and then you can email myself with a request to journal funds and delete the incorrect registration. When this is completed, you will receive a confirmation email.

I'm interested in some kinds of email but not others, and I don't want to be dropped off every list.

  1. You can change the kinds of emails you receive in the 'update details' section, down the bottom. Your choices are all/any/none of the following: Annual Awards, Annual Conference, member seminars in 3 main centres (please choose area). For INFINZ members there are two more lists; emailed in-news, and INFINZ Updates. These cannot be accessed online as this would allow non-members to tick those boxes.
  2. Or just email me and tell me what you want.

MEMBERSHIP:

I've moved overseas: what are my options?

  1. You may remain a member, receiving a 50% discount on your subscription fees and perhaps tailoring the kinds of emails you wish to receive. If you are a certified member this will mean that you retain your certification by INFINZ, which you may wish to use when seeking employment. Also you will continue to receive whichever kinds of emails you would like; you may well still be interested to hear the news, but not need to be invited to member presentations. This can be tailored to your needs either within an online personal details update, or over the phone, or via email. You will not be able to change your membership status to overseas however; please let me know at admin@infinz.com.
  2. If you are non-certified, or perhaps returning to your home country after a stay in New Zealand, you may not wish to be a member any longer. As such, you must send me a written (email is fine) resignation. Due to the legal requirements of an incorporated society you will not 'fall off' the register the way you might if this were a subscription requiring annual renewal; we must process either a resignation, or a forced, board-determined removal for non-payment of subscription fees. This is not ideal from anyone's point of view so if you no longer wish to be a member, don't forget to let me know!

I don't want to be a member any more

You must send me something in writing! Anything!  Without a written resignation (either by post, email or fax) I am in administrative limbo as I am legally obliged to keep treating your membership as live, sending subscription fees invoices and the like out to you. I will try to contact you to find out how you wish to proceed. If I cannot contact you, you will eventually accrue fees. I must then put your name before the Board for removal. You will eventually be struck off the register for non-payment of fees, which is unfortunate but there is no alternative in the constitution. So do please provide me with written instruction.

NON-MEMBER QUERIES

I want to see events but I can't log on.

Ignore the log-on on the main page, this is for members only and takes them to the secure member area. Hover your mouse over 'events' on the left-hand side, a dropdown list will appear and you can choose 'current events' or 'other industry events' from there.

I'm a non-member, how do I pay my invoices online?

Go to the payments page (http://www.infinz.com/tools/transactions/view.aspx?SECT=Site), and log on. If you have already tried to log on on the main home page it will already recognise you and will populate the list of invoices outstanding against your name. You can either click the left ellipsis (...) button and view a PDF of the invoice or choose 'pay now' on the right hand side of the screen. This will take you to a secure payments page where you can enter your credit card details.
