FMA releases discussion document on fee and levy changes

The discussion document considers a range of potential changes to the fees and levies that fund the institutions that regulate New Zealand’s corporate environment and financial markets. The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) and the External Reporting Board (XRB) are taking on new functions to improve the regulatory environment for corporations and financial markets. Additional funding is required to adequately resource these new regulatory functions. Submissions are due by 5pm, Friday 8 July 2011.
