Senior Pricing and Revenue Analyst 

Have you ever wished you could decide the price of an Air New Zealand flight?

As a Senior Pricing and Revenue Analyst in the Commercial team, you will be responsible for pricing and managing revenue on Air New Zealand's long haul routes. This is a critical role in the team as we rebuild our international network and start reconnecting New Zealand to the world.  You will be making decisions on millions of dollars across a range of markets that we fly on. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders across our business, you will be a team player with strong initiative.

Being a Senior in the team, you have high standards and you lead by example. You bring the customer view into your commercial decision making. You are an opportunity seeker, someone who looks for faster and smarter ways of working, and someone who is willing to take a 'test and learn' approach to new ideas.

You will be responsible for:

  • Deciding the price Air New Zealand charges on our flights
  • Analysing economic factors, forecasting demand, and implementing pricing strategies
  • Setting the strategy for your markets to ensure our short term pricing decisions link to long term objectives
  • Working closely with the Networks team to optimise what we fly
  • Responding to competitor and market changes
  • Collaborating with our international airline partners to continuously improve our global customer offering
  • Developing analytical models to assist commercial decision making
  • Working with sales and marketing teams to maximise sales and promotional activity

What you will bring to the role:

  • Tertiary qualification preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Finance, Mathematics or Engineering.
  • Expertise in Excel, combined with data analytics skills to provide insights into commercial decisions and projects.
  • Have the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders and the confidence to provide advice to senior stakeholders across the business
