Senior Manager, Financial Crime Monitoring & Oversight

The Opportunity

Reporting to the GM Compliance, you will hold the Risk Line 2 accountability for monitoring, oversight and assurance of the performance of ASB's Financial Crime Compliance programme. You will design a future state model for Financial Crime Compliance for the bank and work collaboratively to transition programme deliverables into standard business practise. You will develop key business relationships and provide training and insights to support business compliance and an enhanced risk culture.

Success in this role will be the timely execution of the change agenda where the initiatives delivered have a lasting and positive impact on ASB's risk processes and culture, leading to enhanced customer outcomes.

Skills and experience we are looking for:

  • A strong track record and business knowledge in financial services.
  • Relevant experience in financial crime compliance and/or Risk Management monitoring and assurance.
  • An ability to think strategically and to understand the commercial objectives of a business.
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to explain complex technical information to non-subject matter experts.
  • Proven problem solver who is detail orientated with structured, organised, methodical planning skills.
  • Strong reporting skills and ability to analyse data to create actionable insights.
