Senior Managers, Compliance

The Opportunity

We have a number of Senior Manager positions available within our Corporate and Prudential Compliance team, which could see you:

  • Design and manage a systematic process for the development, implementation, review and monitoring of ASB's compliance obligations and policies
  • Lead obligations uplift programme of work
  • Act as conduit between Line 2 Compliance and the business to providing proactive subject matter expertise and advice on policy and regulatory requirements and ensuring these are embedded with a robust control environment
  • Lead Prudential and Regulator consultations and reviews
  • Develop and implement bank-wide guidance and training material on relevant regulation and policy
  • Monitor domestic and global regulatory developments and trends and where relevant, ensure these are reflected in bank policies and risk assessments.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to a high performing team of specialists

Success in these roles will be ability to work collaboratively across the organisation, with a pragmatic and strategic approach to enable the business to understand, proactively manage and optimise their compliance obligations.

We are interested in hearing form people who possess:

  • Prior experience within Financial Services, ideally in a Regulatory Risk or Compliance role
  • Sound prudential regulatory knowledge and awareness of key regulation impacting the banking industry
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills with confidence and credibility to engage effectively with, and influence stakeholders across the business
  • Excellent collaboration and communications skills with experience influencing and driving change
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and demonstrate pragmatic problem solving skills
  • Proven leadership experience with a track record of leading from the front by displaying a positive attitude, high integrity and empathy towards your team and broader stakeholders
