Chapman Tripp Iwi Governance Scholarship in Law

Calling all law students at The University of Auckland!  Are you interested in iwi management and governance? Our Chapman Tripp Iwi Governance in Law Scholarship is now live, and welcoming applications! This $5,000 scholarship has helped a number of students reach their goals and supported them through their studies. A $5,000 Scholarship to support a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident enrolled in Part II or above of the LLB or LLB conjoint degree.

The Scholarship was established in 2012 and is funded by Chapman Tripp, a New Zealand commercial law practice whose Te Waka Ture group is well known for expertise in Iwi Governance issues.

The purpose of the Scholarship is to support a student who is currently enrolled in Part II or above of an LLB or LLB conjoint degree, and who has a particular interest in iwi management and governance.

How to apply

Please read the regulations carefully to be sure you are eligible to apply. Then click on the “Apply now” button and complete the online application form. We recommend you check the form early in case a reference or endorsement is required to support your application, and to familiarise yourself with the form. All sections (including request sections) must be completed by the closing date, which is midnight on the specified date (unless stated otherwise). We recommend you do not have two different scholarship applications open within the same browser.

Outcomes are determined by a selection committee and are usually notified around six weeks after the closing date.
