What you'll be doing

As the company prepares for the next chapter in its future, the exciting role of Corporate Strategy Manager has opened in the Corporate Strategy team, which is a part of the Strategy & Business Operations Functional Unit.

The role will support detailing of the enterprise wide strategy, leading and/or supporting specific strategic initiatives and providing relevant execution support, with the opportunity to help define and shape the future direction of the company.

The role will require you to:

  • Provide objective strategic and commercial advice, leveraging a strong perspective on the telco market, associated trends and financial implications
  • Determine our strategic posture towards market forces and help identify corresponding shifts that might be required
  • Detail and execute on a pan-Chorus Corporate Strategy framework and ensure joined-up execution
  • Lead and drive relevant strategic initiatives across Chorus, including business casing and financial modelling
  • Lead thinking and provide a pan-Chorus perspective to the commercialisation of innovation and BAU opportunities
  • Build strong internal networks and collaborate effectively with Chorus Functional Units
  • Be comfortable working with senior Chorus leaders and Executive stakeholders

What you'll bring to the table

To succeed and thrive in this role, you will need have:

  • At least 7 years' experience in leading / supporting strategy development and delivery, industry and market analysis and forecasting key trends.
  • Proven track record developing Corporate/ Business Unit strategy and presenting at CEO/Executive level.
  • Deep understanding of the telecom market and likely future technology evolution.
  • Skilled at collaborative cross functional stakeholder engagement, building relations and running or managing virtual teams to drive new initiatives, constructively managing expectations and building trust.
  • Comfort in navigating dynamic change environments, with high ambiguity and imperfect data/correlation and ability to deal with conflicting priorities and changing requirements
  • Financial and commercial experience in business casing, financial modelling, commercialisation of new initiatives and/or commercial transaction experience
  • Excellent Excel and Power Point skills and familiarity with leveraging the power of data & analytics
  • Independent self-driven thinking with high motivation and proactive approach
