The Financial Markets Authority (FMA) has a critical role in regulating capital markets and financial services in New Zealand. We also work to provide better outcomes for investors, consumers, professionals, businesses, and the New Zealand economy.
We are looking for a Senior Adviser, Investor Capability to help reshape the FMA's investor capability strategy to deliver better outcomes for a broader range of New Zealand consumers. Our work in this space involves communicating directly with the public, and working with financial service providers to ensure they serve the needs of their customers.
This role works closely with the Manager, Investor Capability to develop our strategy, and support its implementation with research, stakeholder relationship management and initiatives to improve investor and customer decision-making.
We are looking for a skilful communicator who can build relationships within the FMA, and across industry and government stakeholders.
Our ideal candidate will have experience in behavioural insights or qualitative social research. They will be adept at interpreting data to define problems and identify opportunities, and be able to draw on experience in creating customer-centric systems, processes and products.
A background in financial capability, customer advocacy, education, policy or research would be useful, as would an understanding of New Zealand's financial services sector. Willingness to learn and adapt to meet an evolving range of business objectives is a must.
In return, we offer the chance to join a friendly, approachable, supportive team of highly experienced professionals who work collaboratively both internally and externally.
