Senior Adviser, Market Infrastructure

Regardless of where you are at in your career we have a place for you, and right now we're looking for two Senior Advisers, Market Infrastructure to join this newly developed team. Here is your chance to be involved right at the start and to make a difference in promoting and facilitating improved standards of conduct and disclosure and ensuring market infrastructure is sound within the capital markets.

This is a new role, in a newly formed team who will be responsible for:

  • Licensing and monitoring of licensed market operators, crowd funding, peer to peer platforms and administrators of a financial benchmark
  • Accreditation and monitoring of accredited bodies who license and monitor auditors
  • Licensing and monitoring of overseas auditors and registration of overseas audit firms
  • Development and implementation of the new Financial Markets Infrastructure regime, and
  • Develop and implementation of any relevant regulatory changes.

You'll be involved in providing senior expertise and advice for the Market Infrastructure team to provide guidance and expectations of licensing, develop best practice assurance programmes to monitor the compliance of the licensed, accredited and regulated populations, and to respond to regulatory requests and remit changes.

This is a great opportunity for a technically excellent individual with a good knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the financial sector. You will preferably have market infrastructure exposure, or experience in developing and implementing assurance or compliance monitoring programmes, systems and practices, be an experienced regulator, lawyer.

You'll be a team player with excellent communication and relationship building skills and a drive for continuous improvement and learning. You will bring along your analytical, critical thinking and reasoning skills with a genuine passion for ensuring that key market infrastructure providers are fit for purpose.
