The opportunity
Working closely with the Board of Directors to ensure clear, accurate and timely provision of information. This includes, but is not limited to, working with Group Managers and their teams to ensure timely and qualitative delivery of information, organising, attending and minuting board meetings, and day to day support to the board of directors.

Your other key responsibility will be to design and oversee a programme of work for the implementation of recommendations from the Board, as well as developing a reporting and performance framework for use by internal and external stakeholders, and other strategic projects as they arise.

Your responsibilities will be a blend of compliance, Continuous Improvement and project management. Your keen eye for detail and ability to understand complex information will position you to effectively manage compliance and governance. Meanwhile, you will have ample opportunity to showcase your impressive communication, relationship management, organisational and project management skills.

What you need
Some previous experience in governance/law/Board Secretariat is preferred. However, more importantly, are your drive, energy and the following skills and attributes:

  • Bachelor of Laws or similar qualification, or relevant vocational training
  • Excellent written and oral communication standards, with a clear understanding of managing sensitive and confidential information
  • Impeccable internal and external customer service with a high standard of service delivery
  • High standard of time management skills and an ability to work under pressure
  • High standard of effective relationship building
