Corporate Finance Analyst

The Business

We are pretty stoked to be working with a prestigious, New Zealand engineering company. Based in Highbrook, the business are about to embark on an exciting rebuilding phase and have engaged us to help them find a Corporate Finance Analyst.

The role

As an integral part of the Group Finance Function you will provide Senior Management with reliable, accurate and timely insightful analysis of financial, industry, competitor and operational information and trends to inform and support decision making and reporting to the Board and externally.

In this role you will be expected to act as the Company's own internal equity market analyst, preparing and maintaining the Group's corporate valuation model and helping assess the integrity and accuracy of external equity analysts' research reports and forecasts on the Group. You will provide technical expertise with financial modelling across the Group and prepare insightful material and performance/market analysis for analyst and investor briefings.

Just some of the things you'll be doing

  • Prepare regular market pricing, industry data (consents etc) and economic forecast updates for CEO and Board reporting and for guidance in budget/forecast process
  • Prepare weekly sales updates for CEO
  • Prepare analysis, insights and visual/graphical materials for investor briefing packs as required
  • Proactively identify information sources and opportunities to provide value add analysis and grow knowledge of the Company's supply chain, key market and product segment
  • Collation of Group Management Accounts for monthly results update
  • Supporting the Corporate budget process
  • Preparation of the Group Budget presentation pack
  • Assist the CFO and Group Financial Controller with the preparation of strategic financial reports.
  • Assist in financial analysis on projects and capital business cases as required

What you'll need to bring

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly articulate analyst with at least 2 years of qualified Corporate Finance or Chartered Accounting experience.

You will be naturally curious, solutions focused, and possess exceptional communication skills.

As an advanced excel user with strong financial modelling skills and the ability to extract insights from large datasets you will be able to provide compelling data visualisations using the best in class software tools.
