The NZ Equities team is part of the Direct Investments business unit and is responsible for managing the Guardians' active listed NZ equities portfolio. The NZ equities mandate capitalises on investment opportunities that are in line with the Guardians' investment endowments and beliefs through active stock selection. They have substantial holdings in New Zealand listed companies such as Fisher & Paykel Healthcare, Meridian Energy, Spark New Zealand and Auckland International Airport, to name a few.

There will be an emphasis on conducting fundamental analysis and research on New Zealand listed securities, including evaluating ESG risks and opportunities. You will also be involved with the construction, maintenance and reporting on the overall NZ Equities portfolio and the environment in which it operates. Beyond the portfolio, expectations are that the successful candidate will be a strong team player with a growth mindset. They will assist with the cultivation of a constructive culture within the team and broader organisation.
Your responsibilities will include, undertaking fundamental research on new and existing investments, building and maintaining financial models, analysing financial data, and monitoring relevant trends across companies and sectors within our local market. You will assist with engagement with listed companies and market participants as appropriate.
