PwC’s Sustainability and Climate Change (S&CC) team is a multi-disciplinary offering that encompasses consulting, deals, assurance and advisory services. This is a nation-wide service offering with strong links into PwC’s globally leading sustainability and climate change network.

With our unparalleled growth within the S&CC practice, we are now seeking experienced sustainability and climate change professionals at Manager level. You’ll be part of the Sustainability and Climate Change Team and could be based in Auckland, Wellington or Christchurch. 

As a Sustainability and Climate Change Manager at PwC you will mainly be responsible for contributing to, driving and leading the delivery of our S&CC practice to clients, specifically:

  • Client relationship management and business development

  • Development and execution of project plans and deliverables

  • Assessment and management of project risks and commercial targets

  • Supporting public and private sector clients across New Zealand with the sustainability and climate change challenges they face today and anticipate encountering in the future.

  • Fostering our inclusive working environment and enhancing our culture of continuous development both in project work, business development and coaching

  • Managing a dynamic work pipeline and ensuring project work is informed by the latest industry trends and technologies. 

  • Creating authentic change and driving the New Zealand economy in a sustainable direction 

Ngā pūkenga kei a koe / Skills and experience:

  • A relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification in sustainability, climate change or relevant business discipline. 

  • A background in consulting, professional services or public sector environment advisory background and Senior / Lead capacity will be highly favoured

  • Expertise in key sustainability and climate change issues including the science of climate change, supply chain considerations, climate change risks, sustainable finance, global and domestic regulatory and political considerations

  • A deep understanding of and experience with sustainability reporting and disclosure methodologies and  frameworks (TCFD, GRI, SASB, SDGs,  Integrated Reporting, etc.)
