Chief Financial Officer
About the Company:
Mondiale VGL was formed by the merger of NZ Private Equity owned Mondiale with Australia based, VISA Global Logistics. The resulting expanded international footprint makes them a serious force, and top 30 player, in the global logistics market with a customer portfolio of the “who’s who” of local and international blue-chip brands. A seasoned CFO is now required to create a best practice global finance function, support merger integration and make the most of M&A opportunities.
About the Role:
Reporting to the CEO and a heavy hitting Board, the Group CFO will be an essential sounding board for the Executive and conduit with the Founders as they transition away from day-to-day management. Leading a global finance team, you will play a key role in strategy development and the execution of it. You will simplify the complexities of operating across multiple jurisdictions, tax regimes, company structures and foreign currencies, and create a month end cadence that is slick, timely and produces meaningful reporting essential for decision making. IT will also be in your wheelhouse.
Industry knowledge is already plentiful, so logistics experience isn’t required however tenure in international businesses and leadership of geographically dispersed teams is necessary. Decisions have traditionally been based upon years of industry knowledge so confidence translating industry jargon for a broad audience, including shareholders and the investment community, is a critical success factor. As a global business with large FX exposure successful leadership of complex treasury is also important. Their culture is non-hierarchical and understated so big egos won’t fit.
