What We Are Doing
We are growing our Treasury Finance team in size and capability to build local capacity to deliver important Treasury support functions currently undertaken by our parent bank in Sydney. We are looking for experienced Treasury Finance professionals to join our team, help with this important transformational project and ultimately deliver these functions on a day-to-day basis.
A Bit About These Roles
We have an opportunity for experienced and aspiring Treasury Finance professionals to join the team to support the delivery of key Treasury support activities in the areas ofInterest Rate Risk Reporting,Cost of Funds Analysis(incl.TP & TLP), Product Control, Hedge Accounting, Securitisation and Liquidity Reporting.
Initially, there will be a project phase to these roles as you assist with the assessment of the current operating models and the scope of work required to bring these functions onshore. You will then support the transition of these support functions into the local environment. Following successfully establishing these functions locally, you will contribute to delivering these functions on an ongoing basis.
Reporting to Managers within Treasury Finance, these are important roles within the team, and you will contribute to developing a best-in-class service culture.
You will develop key relationships with the Treasury and Market Risk teams and your colleagues in the wider Finance community, including Financial and Regulatory Reporting. You will also deal regularly with key parent bank colleagues in Treasury Finance.
What You Will Need To Succeed
We are looking for people with either the right level of subject matter experience or the desire and aptitude to learn in a fast-moving complex environment. You should be able to operate effectively in a project environment, be effective as part of a growing team, influence stakeholders and use your analytical mind and attention to detail to deliver quality and timely support for these key Treasury Finance functions. We need you to bring your enthusiasm and confident style coupled with your ability to communicate skilfully and confidently across the business.
To succeed in any of these roles, you will likely be able to tick many of the following boxes:
Tertiary qualification in Finance, Commerce or Accounting (ideal, depending on seniority)
CA, CPA or CFA qualified (ideal, depending on seniority)
1-5+ years of relevant experience in a bank or a financial/professional services organisation
Experience with Treasury and Financial Markets product accounting and analysis
Financial modelling and advanced Excel experience
Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills with the ability to build strong relationships across the organisation
Ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex issues to management with fantastic written communication and reporting skills
