INFINZ stands for a vibrant, efficient and transparent capital market to better serve the needs of NZ’s economy.
INFINZ has almost 1500 members and over 300 new members joined over the last year.
Members include: institutional and investment bankers, sharebrokers and corporate financiers, CFOs, treasurers, directors, corporate lawyers, regulators, academics, journalists, tertiary students and funds management professionals.
Membership is on an individual basis, with each member required to sign-up to our code of ethics.
INFINZ have a LinkedIn Group specifically established for members of INFINZ.
INFINZ is influential in shaping the legislation and regulatory structure of NZ's capital markets and was active in contributing to development of the FMCA and associated regulations which are now in force.
Annual Conference is attended by over 400 delegates. In addition over 40 presentations are held throughout the year, all attracting significant members discounts. Regular events are held in Auckland and Wellington and also in other major centres. INFINZ issues regular email educational updates and publishes a Journal twice a year which is free to members. INFINZ members also receive discounted access to educational events offered by affiliated providers such as FTA, AIRA and CFA Society.
Those with the requisite qualifications and/or experience are acknowledged through Certified Status. The annual INFINZ Industry Awards recognise excellence and innovation in 14 categories, along with a further 20 sharebroking sector and service team award.
All of our events provide networking opportunities, including the annual INFINZ Industry Awards black-tie dinner held in mid-May at The Langham, attended by around 800 guests.
Designed for professionals in their thirties moving from subject matter experts to leadership positions. Dedicated events focusing on relevant issues for this cohort such as personal branding, media, investor relations and how to be more impactful with senior management and the Board. Opportunities are provided to attend events with your peers and senior members to build your professional network. The Young Women in Finance group is a networking mechanism for young women in finance-related roles by engaging and connecting with senior leaders. YWF members have the opportunity to access the Young Finance Professionals (YFP) benefits such as events and mentoring, in addition to events tailored to support their professional development.
To access these benefits, YWF members will need to join INFINZ as either a student or Young Finance Professional member.

Students at tertiary institutions studying finance, commerce, business journalism and law can join INFINZ for a nominal processing fee. Attendance at YFP events and dedicated student events focused on how to get that first internship or permanent role. Scholarships to the INFINZ Conference to selected applications, and attendance at INFINZ breakfast/luncheon events are complimentary - an opportunity to learn as well as mix and mingle with potential employers.

Set annually by the INFINZ Board are as follows (GST inclusive):
(1) where purchased together with the membership for the year ended 31 March 2019
New members will have complimentary membership to 31 March 2018, but upon joining, will be levied the subscription for the twelve months ended 31 March 2019
For those joining after 1 May 2018, subscriptions for the year ended 31 March 2019 will be pro-rated (students excepted)
The Board has decided to provided those over 70 who have been members of INFINZ for more than 10 years, with complimentary membership. This recognises their long standing contribution to INFINZ and the industry.
The Board has also decided to provide all members on parental leave with complimentary membership - this is to facilitate their ongoing engagement with the market and keeping up to date with industry developments.

All members of INFINZ are required to abide by a Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. PDF
Continuing professional development no longer is required to be logged with INFINZ.
Fellowships: For Fellow the eligibility will be:
a) Members of INFINZ who have at least ten years relevant industry experience; and
b) who have been in a senior position or senior executive position for at least five years; and
executive position for at least five years; and
c) who have made a significant and valuable contribution to the industry When the INFINZ Board calls for nominations for fellowships the nominators should use this form and send it to mail@infinz.com
Leave of Absence: A Leave of Absence is intended to recognize temporary absence from the industry and therefore provide temporary relief from the membership requirements of INFINZ.
Any Leave of Absence is to be applied for in writing addressed to the Chairman of the INFINZ Membership Committee and the circumstances of the Leave of Absence must be addressed and the term of the Leave of Absence being sought should be stated.
The terms of a Leave of Absence are:
Suspension of annual membership subscription (pro rata) Continued membership of INFINZ

Continued supply of information from INFINZ such as the Journal, INnews , and event notifications
Attendance at INFINZ events during a Leave of Absence will be charged at the non-member rate
Length of Leave of Absence will be determined by the Membership Committee on a case by case basis.
Retirement: The retirement policy recognizes permanent withdrawal from but an ongoing interest in the industry.
