We are seeking an experienced Manager or Associate Director tojoin our M&A team. Our M&A team sits within the wider Deloitte CorporateFinance team, a group of highly specialised individuals who focus on all stagesof the transaction lifecycle.
In this role you will have the opportunity to be part in a supportiveand inclusive team that takes pride in delivering exceptional outcomes for ourclients.
Critical aspects to the role include the managing of clientprojects (predominately transaction processes), developing strong businessrelationships, and delivering outstanding service to a diverse portfolio ofclients.
In particular, the role will involve analysing and quicklydeveloping an understanding of the client/target business, and clearlycommunicating the key commercial, financial and value drivers to potentialacquirers through sales materials including flyers, information memorandums andmanagement presentations. Projectmanagement skills and inter-personal skills are important in the role, as youwill have primary responsibility for managing day-to-day interaction with theclient and the potential purchasers through the transaction process.
You will be an engaging and credible corporateprofessional who is confident in providing commercial, practical assistance toboth clients and colleagues. You will have developed your skills throughexperience and demonstrate a genuine interest in, and stay up-date with,industry activities, marketplace trends and leading practices. We are lookingfor the following experience and attributes:
A relevant University qualification in accounting,finance, or economics and (ideally you will be CA or CFA qualified);
At least 5 years’ experience within a Corporate Financeenvironment, with experience in managing M&A processes;
Engaging communication skills, including verbal andwritten, and an ability to build client and internal relationships.
Proven project management skills including responsibilityfor delivering to project timetables;
Ability to mentor and lead junior team members and workcollaborate as part of the wider corporate finance team on client engagements;
