SENIOR LEADER - STRATEGY & BUSINESS DESIGN


As a Director within our Strategy and Business Design team you will play an active role in leading and coaching talented project teams, working on some of our client’s most complex and pressing issues.
You will be working with client executives across a wide range of interesting organisations as a trusted advisor to address their challenges and bring innovative solutions to their most difficult strategic issues. Working collaboratively is a core value practiced every day.

You will be responsible for managing engagements, providing our clients with the insights and solutions they need to grow, improve performance, and create sustainable competitive advantage. You will help clients take advantage of the many opportunities to be digitally enabled and impactful on the local and world stage.
As well as guiding your team on the day to day delivery of outcomes for clients, you will also contribute to the commercial success of our practice by developing deep client relationships, identifying opportunities to make a difference, and selling client work.

You are someone with:

  • 10 + years demonstrated experience, managing and delivering strategy development and execution working collaboratively with senior executives and Boards. Ideally, you will have 5+ years’ experience in a high performing Consulting environment.
  • Experience in developing and executing corporate and business unit strategy
  • Deep expertise in one of these areas:
  • Environmental, Sustainability and Governance (ESG) lens and its impact on corporate strategy and decision making;
  • The business opportunities created by cloud-based technologies and the execution of cloud transformations;
  • Developing digital strategies or delivering digital transformations; and/or
  • M&A strategy and corporate development including post-merger integrations and separations
  • Ability to understand client issues and pull together the right team to meet these challenges head-on.
  • Experience and passion for directing, developing and mentoring a diverse and inclusive team, you enjoy seeing practitioners grow and develop.
  • Strong quantitative and analysis skills, able to uncover the heart of problems, identify root causes, offer clear solutions and drive change.
  • Ability to communicate, present and contextualise complex ideas concisely and accurately while adjusting style and tone to suit your audience.
  • Proven business development experience, from lead generation and leading bid management through to the delivery of client engagements.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the role of the Te Tiriti o Waitangi to New Zealand, the Government or the Crown, as well as tikanga Māori and Te Ao Māori approaches to client issues.
