Hobson Leavy is thrilled to be partnering with Aurora Energy helping to appoint their new Deputy CFO – Financial Strategy & Planning Manager (Deputy CFO).

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Deputy CFO will play a pivotal role in shaping Aurora’s financial strategy and governance. Acting as the CFO’s trusted advisor, this role provides operational leadership across budgeting, forecasting, regulatory accounting, and financial analysis. It will influence strategic investment decisions, oversee compliance with a complex regulatory regime, and drive financial insights that enable Aurora’s continued growth and transformation.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- CA qualification and deep technical accounting expertise.
- Proven senior finance leadership experience, ideally within regulated industries or utilities.
- Strong capability in financial modelling, regulatory reporting, and strategic advisory.
- A collaborative leadership style, able to educate and influence across the business.
- Comfort operating in a dynamic, mid-sized organisation where impact and visibility are high.
