We offer more than 200 regulated managed funds.

About the role

You will be responsible for developing Smartshares business with institutional investors and developing a highly effective institutional sales function. You'll be working with the interests of investors at the forefront of what you do and aligning your priorities and direction with the Smartshares strategic plan and our Smartshares investment policy.

Improving your clients' business will be your central focus as you'll be working with institutional investors, and their advisers and influencers. You will already be well networked and comfortable dealing with fund managers, institutional investors, investment consultants, regulators and the media.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop a pipeline of institutional investor client opportunities, develop client relationships and understanding of client needs, measuring and monitoring this pipeline and converting opportunities to sales.
  • Account and relationship management of existing institutional investor clients.
  • Prepare prospective client proposals including responses to Requests for Proposal and presentations.
  • Review market developments, identifying threats and opportunities for growth.
  • Working with the Smartshares investment team to produce or compile investor reporting, quarterly newsletters, website articles, key client communications, blogs, and social media
  • Conduct client meetings and presentations, and run investment seminars.

To succeed, you will have a high degree of honesty and integrity, a strong work ethic, leadership experience, and a successful track record with sales/client service within a fund's management business (preferably within the institutional investor client segment).
