Miranda James Head of ESG, ANZ; Chair: NZ Bankers Association As Head of ESG at ANZ, Miranda James leads the climate change and ESG strategy for Aotearoa New Zealand’s largest bank. This includes developing ANZ’s approach to climate-related disclosure. Miranda has 17 years’ experience in sustainability-focused roles across the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. She has worked in New Zealand’s banking sector since 2019, focused on embedding understanding of climate-related risks and opportunities to enable better business decisions. With a background in strategic communications, Miranda has worked in fields as diverse as commercial building energy ratings, resilient communities and sustainable finance. She is a Green Star Accredited Professional (Communities) and is current chair of the NZ Bankers Association climate change working group. |
