Director, Infrastructure and Specialised Lending
MWS Matthew Wood Search Ltd is delighted to be partnering with ASB Bank to recruit a Director, Infrastructure and Specialised Lending. This role could also be positioned as an Associate Director, we welcome applicants at both levels.
Supporting the origination and execution of new business within the infrastructure and energy sectors. While the main area of focus is specialised lending, this position will also support the formulation of ASB’s wider sector strategy and work with wider teams across ASB & CBA.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Filter potential opportunities according to their suitability for ASB/CBA client portfolios based upon an understanding of sector and client requirements.
- Work closely with colleagues to structure and execute transactions
- Lead due diligence, financial analysis, credit approvals and other internal processes
- Proactively monitor and manage exposures by reviewing regular financial and non-financial reporting and researching industry materials.
- Contribute to sector and customer strategies including preparation of pitch books and other collateral
- Cross-market where possible including products from other areas of the Bank
- Provide general support and training to the team assigned from time to time and assist with the uplift of business processes
- Other duties as may be requested by the Head of Infrastructure
Knowledge & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree with 7-10 years commercial, financial or legal experience relevant to the infrastructure and energy sectors
- Previous structured or project finance, institutional or investment banking experience is desirable
- Strong financial modelling skills are an advantage
- Understanding of legal, accounting, regulatory and financial markets issues relevant to sector are an advantage
- Customer relationship management and marketing skills
- Experience working in entrepreneurial, “roll up your sleeves”, team-oriented environment
