About the role
We are looking for a Manager to join our Business Restructuring & Forensics team in Auckland.
As a Manager, you will play a key leadership role across restructuring, insolvency and forensic engagements. You will work closely with Partners to drive optimal outcomes for clients and stakeholders, manage and develop team members and deliver high quality, solution-focused advice in distressed or special circumstances.
This role offers broad exposure across informal restructuring, formal insolvency appointments and forensic investigations, working with a diverse client base across a range of industries.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver informal business restructuring and turnaround engagements, providing clear, solution-focused advice in distressed or special circumstances
- Manage and support formal insolvency appointments, including Receiverships, Voluntary Administrations, Liquidations, creditor compromises and Investigating Accountant roles
- Analyse current and forecast financial performance, including reviewing and preparing budgets, cash flows and financial models to support decision-making
- Interpret complex financial information and present concise, practical recommendations to clients, creditors, secured lenders and other stakeholders
- Lead and contribute to forensic investigations, including financial analysis, documentation and reporting
- Apply relevant accounting standards, legislation and case law to client circumstances, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance
- Coach and develop junior team members while collaborating effectively with Partners and colleagues to deliver high quality outcomes
Experience & Attributes
- Experience in Business Restructuring, Insolvency, Forensics, or special situations advisory
- CA qualified (or equivalent) with a strong understanding of accounting standards, financial statements and business performance drivers
- Highly developed analytical, problem-solving and interpretative skills with advanced Excel capability
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to confidently engage with senior stakeholders and manage multiple priorities
- Commercially astute leader with high integrity, professionalism and a commitment to developing others
