Senior Portfolio Analyst / Portfolio Manager | Timberland
DGA (Debbie Graham and Associates) has been mandated to appoint a Senior Portfolio Analyst / Portfolio Manager with a leading New Zealand timberland investment fund.
This is a hands-on investment and asset management role within the Timberland – Privates team, managing a diversified portfolio of funds and separately managed accounts for high-net-worth investors, family offices, and institutional clients. The successful candidate will work closely with senior asset managers, taking ownership of core analytical, portfolio management, and client delivery responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and interpreting portfolio and asset-level performance, including cash flow modelling and KPI analysis.
- Preparing annual budgets, forecasts, and investment account reporting.
- Producing institutional-quality client deliverables, including reports, performance commentary, and presentations.
- Maintaining and enhancing data sets, AUM reporting, and IRR modelling across investments.
- Overseeing property-level transactions, development initiatives, and external service providers.
Experience and capabilities:
- 3–7 years’ experience in property, funds management, investment management, corporate finance, or investment banking, ideally with exposure to real assets.
- Strong financial modelling skills and a solid understanding of accounting and investment concepts.
- Ability to analyse risk/return dynamics and communicate performance to a sophisticated investor audience.
- High attention to detail, independent and self-directed, with strong execution capability.
