Now is the time to join Auckland Airport as they embark on an exciting chapter of development – as part of a NZ$6.6 billion aeronautical capital investment programme. To support this programme, Auckland Airport announced a NZ$1.4 billion equity raise in September 2024 – the largest ever follow-on capital raise in NZ.

The opportunity 

A new position due to sustained business growth and significant expansion plans. Reporting through to the Corporate Finance Manager, the Pricing & Investment Analyst plays a key role in the provision of comprehensive and advanced financial modelling and analytics to support Auckland Airport’s medium- and long-term financial plans.

Key Responsibilities Include
  • Develop and maintain Auckland Airport’s aeronautical pricing models for regulatory price setting consultation and disclosures
  • Maintain the Airport’s long-term corporate model
  • Provide detailed financial analysis and commentary to support media releases, investor presentations, and pricing consultation
  • Undertake scenario analysis to develop Auckland Airport’s regulatory pricing
  • Support the preparation of the company’s Business Plan, including supporting financial information and analysis
  • Support the Finance team with the translation of the company’s business plan into annual budgets/divisional targets and long-term financial forecasts
  • Undertake analysis to support divisional initiatives as part of the business case process
  • Develop and refine internal valuation models relating to current and potential future airport company (and other sectors) investments
  • Ensure valuation models provide robust views of the valuation of existing and potential investments (using DCF, earnings multiple and other relevant valuation approaches) and can run alternative scenarios / sensitivities
Experience Required To Be Successful 

This role requires a finance professional with strong analytical skills and the interpersonal profile to communicate effectively with a diverse stakeholder base. You will be comfortable working extensively in Excel, developing complex financial models to support investment decision-making.

Applications are welcomed from candidates with experience in Big 4 or mid-tier corporate finance, investment banking, or internal corporate finance roles. A CFA designation is advantageous.
