At Ngāi Tahu Investments, you'll help shape investment decisions across one of New Zealand's most unique investment portfolios. Working alongside an experienced and highly regarded investment team, you'll contribute across investment analysis, mergers and acquisitions, portfolio management, and investment strategy. The role will be appointed at either Associate or Senior Associate level, depending on the experience of the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse investment opportunities, financial performance, risks and value drivers
• Build financial models and undertake valuation analysis
• Evaluate new investment opportunities
• Prepare investment recommendations and Investment Committee papers
• Support due diligence and M&A transactions
• Assist with management of the listed equities portfolio
• Monitor portfolio performance and contribute to investment strategy and asset allocation activities

Ngā pūkenga matua me te wheako | Skills & Experience

We're interested in hearing from candidates with:

• 4+ years' experience in deals, valuations, corporate finance, due diligence, investment banking or consulting
• Strong financial modelling and analytical capability
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Commercial curiosity, sound judgement and a genuine interest in investing
• A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics or a related discipline
• CFA completed or in progress is advantageous
• Alignment with NTHC's purpose and an openness to embracing te reo Māori, tikanga and Ngāi Tahu values within a bicultural environment
