Board Secretary & Governance Manager
NZFMA is seeking an experienced Board Secretary & Governance Manager to provide dedicated, practical governance support to our Board and Chief Executive.
This role sits at the heart of the organisation and is responsible for ensuring our Board and committee processes run smoothly, statutory obligations are met, and governance documentation is clear, current and fit for purpose.
We’re looking for someone who values governance that is proportionate, well run, and enabling - and who enjoys bringing clarity, structure and calm to senior decision‑making processes.
About the role
- Part time: approximately 16 hours per week, worked flexibly by agreement
- Senior, trusted governance role working closely with the Chief Executive, Chair and Directors
- Responsible for Board and committee secretariat support, governance documentation, and statutory compliance
This role would suit an experienced governance professional looking for meaningful, senior‑level part‑time work, including those returning to part‑time roles.
