As our Strategy Partner, you will act as a trusted advisor to Executive and Senior Leadership teams, helping shape key business decisions through strategic analysis, commercial insights, and financial expertise. Sitting within the Strategy & Performance team, you will work across the business to connect strategy, operational performance, and financial outcomes, ensuring Port of Auckland continues to deliver long-term value.
This role offers a unique opportunity to influence major business initiatives, capital investments, strategic planning, and performance improvement across a dynamic and complex operating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Executive and Senior Leaders to drive commercial and operational performance outcomes.
- Provide strategic insights, scenario modelling, investment analysis, and business recommendations.
- Oversee financial evaluation of major projects, business cases, and capital investments.
- Support strategic planning, performance reporting, and shareholder requirements.
- Develop meaningful performance measures that connect operational and financial outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance business performance and value creation.

You are an experienced finance professional with strong commercial acumen and a passion for strategy, business partnering, and organisational performance.
Essential Requirements
- 5 -10 years' experience in finance, business partnering, strategy, transformation, or related roles.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or a related discipline.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience aligning strategy with financial outcomes.
- Experience translating complex data into strategic insights and recommendations.
- Proven ability to build credibility and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience within infrastructure, logistics, transport, maritime, or other asset-intensive industries.
- Advanced financial modelling, scenario planning, and investment analysis capability.
- Knowledge of port operations, supply chain networks, or logistics environments.
- Experience presenting strategic recommendations to executive audiences.
