The Todd Family Office provides bespoke wealth management services to Todd family members in New Zealand and across the globe. We manage a diverse range of advisory services, including taxation, estate planning, trust administration, and investment portfolios. We are dedicated to protecting the family's legacy through excellence, discretion, and a long-term perspective.

We are seeking a proactive Risk and Compliance Manager to lead the continued development and maintenance of our risk management and compliance framework. This role is for someone ready to take ownership of a critical function within a prestigious New Zealand organisation.

More about the role:

Reporting to the Senior Legal Counsel, you will ensure we adhere to all regulatory obligations and internal policies while proactively mitigating operational and financial risks.

This is a "hands-on" role where you will work collaboratively across the business to support our strategic outcomes and maintain a robust control environment.

Key responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the risk framework, conducting regular scenario analysis and monitoring key risk indicators.
  • Manage the Compliance Assurance Programme (CAP) and oversee specific regulatory requirements for FAP and DIMS licence holders.
  • Own and drive the AML/CFT Programme and act as the Privacy Officer for the Family Office.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management and the Board regarding legislative changes and compliance findings.
  • Coordinate external audits and lead the incident management process to ensure timely resolution of issues.
About you

You are an analytical thinker with a passion for continuous improvement and a track record of implementing effective internal controls. You possess the ability to adapt your style to achieve results and are comfortable managing competing priorities in a complex environment.

Qualifications and experience required:
  • Five or more years of experience in risk management, compliance, or a regulatory function.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in business, finance, law, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Accreditation to a professional body in law, compliance, risk, or audit.
  • Proven experience in process design and stakeholder relationship management.
