Treasurer and GM Financial Transactions - Auckland Council

John has been Treasurer and General Manager Financial Transactions at Auckland Council since August 2014. Prior to this he was a director at PricewaterhouseCoopers, responsible for financial risk and treasury advice to a number of New Zealand corporates. From 1996 to 2010, John was Treasurer of national grid operator Transpower based in Wellington.

John has a strong background in treasury management and extensive experience in the debt capital markets. John has been responsible for large number of debt transactions in many of the world's debt capital markets including Auckland Council's inaugural EUR benchmark issue in 2017 and Council's first Green Bond issue in 2018.
