An economist by trade with undergraduate degree from Waikato University and post graduate from Lincoln University and Wharton Business School, University of Pennsylvania. Craig has a varied finance career extending from banking and treasury through to investment banking and funds management. He is a former corporate banker with WESTPAC, a corporate treasurer (Kiwi cooperative dairies limited and the inaugural Fonterra treasurer). Craig developed and formulated much of the treasury risk management policy at Fonterra together with Alex Duncan and Pat Duigan. He has advised PE and high HNWs on acquisitions and investments. Was Head of Treasury and Strategy at NZSX listed Heartland Bank and Chief Investment Officer at Tainui Group Holdings.

Craig is a member of the IOD and former board member of INFINZ, is a certified treasury professional, and judge at the annual INFINZ awards for the excellence in treasury category.
