Ron Michel is a CA with 30 years experience as a Corporate Treasurer. After completing his B.Com at the University of Auckland he began his career with Chartered Accountants A & J Grierson, Goodare, Gibson & Co. He has worked in the meat, sugar and dairy industries in finance, treasury and commodity risk management roles.

Ron joined Synlait Milk as Treasurer in May 2015 from a similar role at NZ Sugar. The Synlait Milk treasury team were finalists for the 2018 INFINZ Excellence in Treasury award.
