Tina leads NZTE's Māori strategy development, capability uplift and strategic partnerships with NZ Inc and Te Ao Māori. She is based in Auckland. She will take up the international post as New Zealand Trade Commissioner - Taiwan at the end of 2020.

Tina has worked within the Māori sector for the last 25 years, specialising in investment, business strategy, financial management, training and economic development. She has extensive governance experience. She currently sits on Massey University Council and chairs her Iwi Trust and newly appointed Co-Chair of Tupu Toa. Tina sits on the Investment Committee of Tāhito - Australasian investment fund. Tina is a Stanford University and Te Hono alumni. She is on Te Hono steering committee - focused on lifting the potential of New Zealand's primary industries.

Tina was the CEO of Iwi Investor (Taupo Moana Group) a specialist investment advisory firm to 80 Māori entities. She holds a degree in commerce and Māori and is conversant in Te Reo Māori and Spanish. She is a firm believe that value follows values.

Tina holds her people at the core of her heart - her driving force for economic advancement of Ngai Māori. Tina and her husband Temuera have four wonderful tamariki, who are her real reasons for Māori economic uplift.
