Scott joined the Board on 6 July 2021 and became Chairman in March 2024.

He's also a Director of ANZ’s parent company, ANZ Group, and the Chair of Mercury NZ Ltd, and a Director of NEXT Foundation.

Previously Scott served as a Director of Fonterra and as Chair of Fisher and Paykel Healthcare.

Scott was Chancellor of the University of Auckland from 2017 to June 2021 and was a member of the University Council since 2009.

Previously, he was a member of the Capital Markets Development Taskforce, the Financial Markets Authority Establishment Board and the Security Industry Association, which he chaired.
