Congratulations to our Executive Director, Jim McElwain, who was presented this week with the award of AUT Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter Honouree Member for 2019. Beta Gamma Sigma is a prestigious international honours society that, recognises the academic achievements and excellence of top business students around the world
- Beta - the first letter of the Greek word "Bebaeos", signifies honour
- Gamma - the first letter of the Greek word "Gnosis", signifies wisdom
- Sigma - the first letter of the Greek word "Spoude", signifies earnestness
BGS has more than 590 chapters in over 190 countries and has the world's largest network of business alumni.
The award is at the discretion of the University Chapter with only Business Schools that are AACSB accredited able to induct their top graduates into Beta Gamma Sigma - AUT Business School chose Jim as an honouree member based on his relationship/partnership with the Business School and what he has contributed to the success of the students and the School.
