Ben is an economist, environmentalist and social entrepreneur. He completed a Masters in climate change economics in 2006, and has founded several businesses and charities. He worked for 6 years as a senior economist at the New Zealand Treasury leading climate change policy and establishing the Living Standards Framework.  

Ben launched the Cogo platform in New Zealand in 2011, under the brand ‘Conscious Consumers’. He moved to the UK with his wife and two children in 2018, to launch Cogo with integrations to 40 banks via Open Banking technology. Cogo now partners with banks and accounting platforms across the world, including NatWest (UK), ING (Netherlands), Westpac (AUS) and Xero (NZ), as well as a growing number of large corporates.  Cogo supports these organisations to empower their customers and suppliers to measure and reduce their carbon footprint. Their solutions reach 20million users globally.
